Another great idea: My friend Kristen also suggested that if I want to keep the element of lemon zest without using it as a sledgehammer, that I could use a bit of it to add to the garnish on top (with the sour cherry sliver). I think that would look lovely! I'm imagining the honey right now in these bars, and it makes me very happy. Cool idea, Lovica!
